About Ratio & Resolution

Ratio & Resolution publishes practical reference articles about the numbers behind digital images: aspect ratios, pixel dimensions, DPI and PPI, resizing, cropping, and what happens when an image moves from a screen to a printed page. Every article works from real dimensions and shows the arithmetic.

Disclosure: this publication is edited by the person who also runs PrintPixelTool, a free browser-based image calculator. Articles may occasionally reference it.

Written by Puneet K., who builds browser-based image calculators and writes about the numbers behind images.
